Optimum Performance

As side airbags protect mainly the thorax portion of occupants, head side airbags were developed to protect front and rear passengers' head and neck region, which is the most vulnerable body region in side collisions. Using specific Joyson Safety Systems design features these airbags can also provide also passenger protection during rollover events. The most common installation location is under the headliner of the vehicle, right above the side windows.
